Hey loves!

Tarte cosmetics came out with a summer foundation in their new Rainforest of the Sea collection, which is sold exclusively at Sephora. It is marketed as a water foundation. Basically, it contains 20% water, therefore it claims to be extremely lightweight, hydrating, and melt into the skin. Now onto the review…

Yay or Nay?

Yayyyyyyyy! I love this foundation, now that I know the best way to apply it. This foundation claims to hydrate and add luminosity to the skin, but I find that it does the opposite. If you’re dry I would definitely runnnnnn away from this foundation. I have combination skin, therefore I can make it work by applying a moisturizer, hydrating primer, and also use a damp beauty blender. Using those three things, make this foundation beautiful. It lasts so long without breaking up. I think if you’re oily, this foundation is going to be your bestfriend because it controls the oils on your face so well. I would definitely wear this foundation when I know I will be having my photo taken or if I know that I will not have time to touch up my face for a very long period of time. It has no flashback, even though it has SPF 15. The only thing that sucks about this foundation is the color range. Deep Honey is the last shade in the foundation, so if you’re darker than me unfortunately they do not have a shade for you. Which I find very annoying, if a brand comes out with a foundation, they need to make sure they have a shade for everyone or don’t create a foundation at all. I’m just saying LOL. But overall, I do love this foundation, but do not be fooled with the name “Water Foundation” because it is not hydrating at all. Let me know if you guys have tried this foundation…
