Hey Loves!!

I know it has been a week since I posted. I am so sorry for that. I recently started working at a summer camp and that really has been fun but exhausting. Now on to the review….

So today is going to be full rundown of the Maybelline Nudes and Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette. I am super excited that the drugstores are starting to have better eyeshadow palettes. These palettes can now compete with palettes from Lorac or even Too Faced.

Overview

Both palettes have 12 eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are a pretty good size. They are semi-opaque. Meaning you do have to build these eyeshadows up, especially the more matte shades. The original Nudes palette is more on the warm side. It has some warm browns, greys, blacks, and a gorgeous gold shade. While the Blushed Nudes palette is more cool toned. It has some cool toned browns, greys, champagne shades, and a gorgeous pink shade. Both palettes have all shimmer shades, but some of the eyeshadows are barely shimmery, therefore they look almost matte on the eye. It’s kind of hard to explain, but you definitely could get away with putting some of these shades in the crease even though they are not completely matte.

Is it worth it?

Yes! I am a palette girl. I like all my eyeshadows to be organized together not spread out in a single pan. So I think it was awesome for Maybelline to kind of start the trend of drugstores having bigger and better quality eyeshadows. These palettes are not the absolute best in the world, but they are great for someone who wants to start their makeup collection or just add-on. My favorite would definitely have to be the original Nudes palette.

Let me know what your favorite drugstore eyeshadow palette is…

Heart,

Diamon B
